hello all new to the site and to ls Hello guy and gals
My name is Carlton from a small town in eastern NC called Pinetops. I just started a one my road service company that offers breakdown service for mostly big rig trucks like freightliners and such. Me and my great wife just had to adopt 5 young girls this year do to a death. So that puts me out day and night just to make ends meet to live. Before all this took place it was the wife and my 3 sons. My oldest has moved out and my youngest dont care one bit about cars or horse power..(if its not a game he cant see it) lol. But my middle son who is 19 has always been by my side. In 2016 we bought a 1994 chevy silverado with the dead sbc 350 and 4l60e tranny. so we decided to make a project just for us two to spend time and to teach him engine builds and how the engine works and perform. We bought a sbc 400 from (Craigslist) who i found out had shot us a bunch of BS.. said engine was ready to run with close to 400 hp. When we got it home we pulled heads and seen it had been bore .40 over and had nice parts. at deeper inspection we found a flat spark plug and a damaged piston..(screwed again) and then the the death in the family and a long drug out court days, We are now trying again. With all that said I have a chance at a 2007 cadillac escalade with the L92 6.2L engine in it. We want to learn all we can about how the LS works, what others has done, and what we can do on a almost no budget?? I/we will share any and everything we know to help others..
