Newbie from SC Hey y'all, I'm new to this site as a member but I've used it as a reference for a while now. I'm a senior in high school and have built a 5.3/4l60e powered c10 on my own. The truck was bought new by my great grandfather, before he passed (he was legally blind), my grandpa started driving it. When I was 15 and got my liscence, I inherited it from him and immediately ripped out the small block, built it 3 times, and a little over a year later, I was sick of it. So I did an ls swap in my dad's shop, built everything from radiator mounts, wiring harness, brackets, to the wiring harness (at 16). Best part about the truck is all the memories from a very young age (young as I can remember). It's awesome to be able to say I've built it myself through hard work and dedication. Love my truck and it'll always stay with me. Pic is a comparison when I got it to the way it looks now. Truck is currently a 2001 5.3, 4l60e, 12 bolt, 15x10 rear wheels, 295 50 R15 BFG, the fronts are 15x5 with a 235 60 r15 BFG. Lowered with CPP 3" front 5" rear, sway bars, new shocks.
