Newbe - jjzepplin
Hey there, I am new to LS cars and normally an old school guy. I just purchased a 1999 Firebird with a 5.7 and 6 speed. I was going to swap this engine and trans into my 72 Blazer at first but now I am perplexed after driving this thing. Well any who, I have to scoot off to work but thought I would throw a "HEY" out there. Looking forward to learning about these cars and driving them- James

Well I've been cleaning it up and I got the power seat working (oh my back). I am going to get it registered today so I can drive legally and then it is going to get some AC working. Well it works for a day or two if you charge it but it leaks out quick. I spoke to the PO and he said he never replaced the compressor or anything so could this compressor really have survived for 156k? Maybe a bit less as who knows how long it has been failing. I am assuming its the compressor. And of course the door hinge on the driver side is bad. But these have been a design flaw since the seventies maybe sixties.
