I have used this board as a resource for a few years now but have yet to join, hopefully I can return some of the assistance I have received during my swap.

I appreciate it, and the wealth of shared information on the site. I will work to type up my lessons learned and get a post going, hopefully it can be of some use to others.

My project is a 79 Scout with a 2016 L83, needless to say I ran into some fun hurdles on the fuel pump and accessories side (power steering) but in the end I believe it was not that bad and worth getting a new low mileage motor. Currently I am troubleshooting a few gremlins in the harness for the MAF and MAP sensors but I hope to be road worthy soon.
