Hello from Ohio Getting ready to swap out my 383 to a 5.3 in my 91 Camaro. Gonna keep it mild, Little bit of top end work on the heads and a decent cam, nothing crazy. I'm new to the newer motors, so I'm trying to learn as much as I can. I really couldn't pass on the opportunity to do this swap, just picked up a complete running 5.3 from a 04 Tahoe for $150. Putting the 5.3 on the engine stand today and start tearing it down to go to the machine shop. I'll be posting pics and asking questions along the way. Have a good day everyone.

I love the 5.3s, they're cheap and work well. I swapped one in my 68 Nova, and with a Tick 227/235 cam, TH350/3800, 3.73 10 bolt, and cheap eBay 1.75 long tube headers went 11.74@114. Faster than my 383 I built in the early 2000s!
