Noob old school Just a ole car lover mechanic my whole life current truck driver but can’t get away from getting my hands bloody and dirty. Current project 84 C10 with a 2000 5.3 fresh rebuild bored .30 mm big cam 400 trans sounds great but needs tuning. Had 0411 ecu delete of every unnecessary sensor since South Carolina is a non inspection state. My first LS build and it’s been a whole new ball game compared to a 350 454 build with a carb. I depinned ecu and ran all wires inside cab of truck to clean up engine bay and made my own fuse box from donor car to make it simple. Needs a little body work paint job and I’ll be rolling. Thinking about putting a AC unit out of a 2000 ish Chevy truck under dash to not have that big evaporater box on firewall lot less than the after market under dash units and serves the same purpose
Welcome to LS1Tech! I have an 87’ in my shop that my brother bought brand new when he was 19. Completely restored frame off with 55k original miles. He ordered the truck with a step side bed, 350, 4 speed, posi, a/c, and front end appearance package. Midnight blue. It’s been lifted and modified a “tad”. Still has the original block, sbc, so not much interest on this site.
