Hello everyone. New to the forum, and relatively new to the LS world. In 2017 I purchased a 2000 Camaro Z28 as a project car. At the time I owned a supercharged 2018 Mustang 5.0 and decided I wanted to go faster then what the mustang could take me. A couple of my good friends at the time pushed me into buying the camaro. For a couple months I continued to race the mustang as I began to stock pile parts. Originally the car was going to run a small shot of nitrous but ultimately I felt that I wouldn't meet my goals. Boost was the answer to my desire to go fast. It was a long road of late nights, wasted money, 3 different setups and a lot of sleep lost until I found a setup that worked exceptionally well.
Currently the car is running a SBE 5.3 with ARP main studs, ARP head studs, a LJMS state 3 turbo cam, Holley mid rise intake, fed by a BW s480 and Huron speed T6 single kit. I run a Th400 and Circle D converter and an 8.8 rear end. The car has run a best of 9.7 @144 on 16# at a DA of 6900. On its 3rd pass ever I ran the 9.7. In two weeks I hope to run a low 9 which would be a huge accomplishment considering the DA this time of the year is
around 7,000DA.
