New guy from Dayton Ohio Hello all,
Here's a little bit on what I'm working on:
1985 Chevy Squarebody Silverado. The swap will be a 5.3 LM7 pulled from a truck I wrecked (don't worry, I'm fine). Plan is to turbo it. I've gotten a lot of ideas from this site that I'm about to set in motion. Seems like a pretty common build from what I've read so hopefully I can learn from other people's experience. The one area where my build might be different from others is I plan on also doing a manual swap as well. Either a TR-6060 or a TKO. Its going to be relatively low boost as I'm not that concerned with 1/4 mile times. Just looking to annoy neighbors. Never done anything like this before so I'll be copying a lot of what more talented people have done here. Haha
I'm more from the low rider scene. A couple years ago I built a 1962 Impala 409. More recently, I put together a Harley Softail Deluxe done in the So Cal low rider style. This project is a little out of my comfort zone but I'm been wanting to jump on the LSX bandwagon for a while now.
I've lurked on this site for a couple years. Great site. Lots of knowledge. Looking forward to getting to know some of you.
