New Guy needing to do an LS swap ASAP
I have been working on cars, trucks, motorcycles and just about anything else that needs fixed. I am here to do an LS swap on my deceased wife's 2009 Chevy Colorado. This was the first vehicle she bought new and she loved this truck, is it perfect, no. But it is a good truck and I want to make it into something special in her memory.
The truck has a 2.9, 5 speed, 2X4, extended cab truck. I have been watching YouTube videos and reading whatever I can about doing a swap. But now I need to lock down the right engine and mate it to the 5 speed so I can have a great and fun daily driver.
I am here to learn and share anything I have with others.
Joe
lots of LS swaps over in our Conversions And Hybrids section. The great thing about doing a Colorado swap is that GM offered the truck with an LS, so the swap parts are readily available at any parts counter if you need replacements. Enjoy the journey sir!
You'll use an LS1 T56 clutch/flywheel, the stock colorado slave cylinder. You'll just have to find a stock 4L60e bellhousing, they are cheap and easy to find.
