I’ve thought about an LS but have heard stories of the handling being compromised. I have this motor dialed in at little over 300hp and it really is about much power as I need.

I don't think the handling is compromised as much as having to learn to drive it different. The one clear advantage you have is maintaining the original brake set-up. With an LS, you have some challenges
