LS ignorance but curious I’ve learned a lot of respect the more I’ve learned about these engine platforms over the years. I’m a ford man at heart, and have been most of my life, but I “acquired” a late model LY6 and looking to drop it and an overdrive in an old F150 super cab, making a family hotrod/tow machine, IF I can do it without going broke. Got a LOT of research to do but I’m looking to keep it relatively stock and do it as simply and inexpensively as I possibly can.
I’m a 20+ year mechanic and currently work for a major shipping company as a fleet mechanic, so not a newbie to the wrench, but very new to the LS engine. Looking forward to learning something new and making smoke. Not afraid of wiring, but may or may not have to farm out the computer work. Maybe.
