New Guy From Calgary Hi There
I'm a Platinum haired Guy with a Old Canada Post Van that I'm going to swap a 4.8 out of a 2006 GMC van. The nuts and bolts should not be a problem for me. I'm a little intimidated about the best route to take on the wiring, and programing.

Welcome to LS1Tech Joe! Sounds like a cool project. Plenty of folks here can get you through the electrical side of this. Easiest way to handle it, if the electrical side tends to seem intimidating to you, is to buy an aftermarket harness setup for your engine. Usually just a few wires to connect with the swap harness, and makes life easy. Check out PSI, a site sponsor here. They sell complete harnesses and ECM’s and can tune the ECM to your exact needs.
