Default New to the LS World E46 5.3 Drift Project.

Whats up guys I'm new to the forum im from Downtown Fort Worth, TX. I Joined because im building an 01 BMW 330CI Coupe with an lm7 5.3. I plan on having a daily drift car. Main reason i joined was for the knowledge that a lot of you guys must have. I'll try to post weekly updates on my build. Im also deliberating on starting a youtube channel for some of the guys who would also like that option.

I took of the heads and cleaned it up the best i could. i don't plan on doing anything to the long block other than a cam kit will run stock crank and pistons. Im not familiar with building an engine but a couple ls bow guys recommended doing ls7 lifters and valve springs i don't know what cam i should run. Some mentioned the Brian tooley racing stage 2-3 cam kit. Others said go with a Texas speed Performance kit. i just don't know what to look for. I will also be re doing the heads so any recommendations in the DFW area for that sort of work would be much appreciated.

Looking forward to all the input and knowledge y'all might have.

Welcome to LS1Tech! Re-post the question over in our Gen3 Internal section of the forum. You’ll get way more traffic over there and lots of sharp guys with experience to help you out. Cool build sir!

Welcome. I'm knee deep in a E46-LS swap as well. Good luck on the adventure.

E46 LSx build

I haven't updated it in awhile here, I suppose I should at some point. Most of my updates have been on Bimmerforums (E46 LSx build on bimmerforums). I did try starting the build post on E46 Fanatics as well, but for some reason my account disappeared and I had to recreate it, plus there is more traffic on Bimmerforum.

Look forward to see more of the build. I’ve always loved this year Beemer.
