Hey everyone,

I'm new to the forum and own a 1973 Datsun 240z. Of course I wouldn’t be here if it wasn’t LS1 swapped with 50k miles on the motor (5k after the swap).

I’m an amateur mechanic and here to learn, buy/sell local parts, and eventually give back to the community. My next project is swapping my 4l60e with a “stage 2” T56. It’ll be my first time even dropping a trans, but I think I can handle it.

I’ve done a ton of research already on the swap and know the lengthiest part of the swap is having the right parts! Wish me luck!

The Z

Cleaned up bay, needs fan shrouds, more wire tucking, and maybe coil covers...

How can you say no to that face?

Welcome to LS1Tech! Clean install man. If you could get that filter out of the hot air stream from the radiator, your IAT’s would come way down and you’d make more power. If you run into any questions concerning the tranny swap, check out our Conversions Snd Hybrids section, or perhaps the Manual Transmission section. Ask all the questions you need. Lots of folks here to help.
