Default New and need some advice!

Hello!
I am obviously a new member but more specifically new to forums. After what seems like days I've tried to avoid making this account and yet another thread (as to not annoy anyone) but i just cant seem to find the exact answers i am looking for. I have an 01 Camaro SS that snapped the #6 connecting rod in half and destroyed the original block. I am planning on putting a crate Gen III LQ9 with an LS6 cam and 821 heads back in and have a complete '15 Chevy SS LS3 style intake to go on top. I know everything to do with the block will jive and it will need a tune but my question is, when it comes to the heads and intake what do i need to look out for? More specifically are the injector connectors the same as the LS1, the manifold sensor(s), and the PCV system? Or if anyone could direct me to a specific thread that has all that info, it would be much appreciated! Thanks in advance and sorry if that was a little long winded!

Welcome to LS1Tech! Don’t ever hesitate to start a thread for anything. We have a search function here but it doesn’t always pull up the info your looking for, to the top. Takes a lot of reading sometimes. Nevertheless, you’ll want to go over to our Gen3 External section and ask the questions. You’ll get plenty of help over there and Lots more traffic. Not much traffic here in the introduction section. Enjoy the journey sir!

If using the LS3 injectors you'll need Multec to EV6 adapters. The map sensor is different and the easiest is to use an o-ring seal that works on the LS3 intake and use your LS1 map sensor since your harness is pinned for it. You'll probably want to run a 4 bolt cable type throttle body as well.

I did forget to mention that I still have to get a set of headers and a throttle body. Thanks for the info! It’s going to be easier than I thought, I figured I would be splicing new connectors on to the old harness.
