Corvette LS1 => Jeepster
I picked up a Corvette LS1 a while back to put into my Jeepster - to be honest, it was 2 years ago - time flies! 2004 Corvette LS1 with ~80k miles, complete with harness, ECU, pedal, etc. I bought the Corvette LS1 because it has the tightest accessory drives. A Jeepster has a very short hood, and I will probably still have to cut the firewall to fit everything. 4L65e and NP241c will finish out the drivetrain.
As purchased:
It's very clean inside, so it looks like it was well-maintained. (no, I haven't actually run it yet)
I painted it Chevy Orange to fit the time period of the Jeepster (late 60s-early 70s). I replaced the water pump, valve cover gaskets, front and rear crankshaft seals, harmonic balancer, plugs, wires, etc. The Corvette batwing oilpan was replaced with a Camaro pan - the wings interfered with the front suspension links. I am using Camaro LS3 exhaust manifolds - the Corvette manifolds interfered with the motor mounts I'm using. It already had an LS6 valley cover on it, so the PVC system was upgraded by the previous owner, which is good.
I used Calyx dressing on the exhaust manifolds - I've never used it before, so I'm curious to see how it works out.
A Sanden AC compressor and new brackets replaced the GM compressor to work better with the Vintage Air AC system. (the frame may need to be notched to fit the low compressor location)
