NH Newbe Been an LS fan for a while and finally building one. It will eventually go into a 2009 Silverado, replacing a 5.3L. Block is a Iron LQ4 with 317 heads. Doing a 3.9 stroker forged bottom end with custom CP pistons for a 9.8 compression with the 71cc heads. Plan is add duel tailgate turbos in future as knowledge, time and coin allow. Figuring 450-500 HP from 397cid or 6.5L and later adding 10lbs to get a reliable 750-850hp on pump gas. Doing 14 bolt AXN axle swap for disk brakes and a stronger rear. Looking at a gear type limited slip as opposed to a clutch type. My biggest concern is the 6L80 trans and transfer case. I really like the extra gears and don't want go the 4l80 route. The truck is going be duel use as work truck and as a toy. so want it be streetable and reliable. Just waiting for covid to end so that I can go get it back from Ulaanbaatar.
