I'm Will. Live in San Antonio, have a 2000 Camaro SS. It is a second sticker car but one that they modified at GM instead of SLP doing the work. Currently working to upgrade the various suspension components via BMR parts (panhard bar, LCA's, SFC's, K-member, A-Arms, etc.). Also upgrading the exhaust with TSP 1 7/8" SS headers (wrapped with Titanium DEI wrap) and speed engineering true dual over the axle exhaust. I have a dual electric cutout kit from summit I am going to see about using with this setup but we will see. I don't know how fitment is going to work just yet.
Future plans include a 9" swap and a motor swap. I have a LSX iron block that I will be boring out into a 454 ci motor and building out. Shooting for 700hp NA but we will see. I know you can do a lot with the aluminum blocks but I got the block cheap and I just enjoy the NA big cubes. Just trying to make a super cool street rod.
I have the triple gauge cluster for the A-pillar for future install as well as SJM line-lock kit.
When I bought the car it came with Koni's and BMR lowering springs. If you wanna see pics of the car I posted some in an album on my profile. look forward to discussing cars and tech stuff with all you guys.
take care

Sounds like you have some serious plans for the car going forward. Good luck and, again, welcome to the site!

Any additional SS content (i.e. "second sticker") would have been installed at SLP, GM did not perform such work on any SS cars during the LS1 years. GM only provided the base alterations under RPO "WU8" - all additional content (which required RPO "Y2Y") was provided and installed by SLP at their finishing facility, not the GM plant. With that said, it's certainly possible that the original selling dealership might have done modifications or ordered/installed some SLP (or other) content as an in-house package/addition before the car was titled (sort of like the GMMG cars). But any content above and beyond the base SS (WU8) package would not have been installed on the GM assembly line.
