Newbie here My name is Dusty from sw Missouri. I am mostly a newbie to ls stuff. I have and will have some ignorant questions from time to time as I begin preparing to install an ls7 crate style motor in an old 67 Camaro drag race car that we will be resurrecting to drive on the street. We’re going to back it with probably a late model 6 speed trans feeding a narrowed 9 in rear
My first question is , is the physical size and motor mounts the same as a gen 3 5.3 or not? I’m going to be using a junkyard 5.3 for mock up purposes while we are waiting on the real thing. Am I completely lost or am I headed in the right direction?
Any help would be appreciated. Thanks
