I have a 99 C5 that I bought brand new. At about 50,000 miles I took it to A&A in Ca and had Andy install a Kenne Bell S/C as at the time they were supposedly the new blower to get. I really like my setup and after getting my Ls1 to over 600rwhp I finally lost my engine due to a roller tip breaking and taking my cam out, everything below the cam looks good but I’ll have it gone through and use that engine somewhere else. I’ve since bought a 6.2 Lsa short block and will be bringing that tow machine shop and cleaned up a possibly at least get honed. I’m going to use the stock pistons and rods but have new rings installed. I’m hoping to get in the 700rwhp range using my KB setup, if I only get what I had before I’ll be happy still knowing the block can handle it. I’ll be looking for a few things to put this together. I did see someone had some Mahle forged pistons but he hasn’t replied about them and since I’m new I can’t PM him. Hopefully by doing this post it will let me do more on this forum.
