Hello from The Midwest New guy working on his first build with about 1,000 questions. I’ve read a lot on the site over the last 12 months to get as far as I am.
I am working on an LQ4 for a 1980 K5. I have 2 goals for the build. #1 is to push some limits and LEARN. I want to do as much myself as possible, get the tools and the knowledge to potentially come back for a race build one day. #2 i want something fun to drive. I want a street-able truck, but it’s not meant to be a daily driver. I’d use it to drive to tailgates, hunting spots, and maybe take it to a local Mud Drag for some competitive fun. You know, regular Hillbilly s**t.
