Hi All! Just joined. My name’s Andrew and I will be swapping in a 5.3 iron block into my 1978 IH Scout hopefully later this year. I’ve really only ever wrenched on the original IH V8 (including a partial rebuild) so this is my first time venturing into the new territory of GM, fuel injection, etc. I’m not aiming for high horsepower, going to stay NA, 400 would more than double what the Scout has now, really just looking for more reliability and not the fear if I take the family out that we will end up stuck with my 2 young daughters.
I have already learned a lot from all you guys, figured it was time I introduced myself.
