Oldtimer, but new to this forum.
Past swap: LS1 into 1978 280Z. A friend's autocross car. 400+ WHP, and right under 2,800 pounds with driver.
New client with swap for some finish work and upgrades: 1947 DeSoto Custom Sedan with LS1 swap. Engine has some mods, but I haven't been able to completely catalog. 102mm throttle body and short runner powder coated aluminum intake are obvious. I know I'll have some questions about this.
Future swaps under consideration. LS1 with mods into a 1991 RX-7 Convertible (my own car). Also there's going to be some swap into an early 1960's RHD Rolls Royce sedan. That's a client project. Currently it has a Chevy 250 straight 6 with a 1 barrel carb. Needs more power. Owner is considering a crate V8, or possibly a 4.3L V6/4L60E from a late S series (S10 pickup or Blazer).
The DeSoto and the Rolls Royce are both client projects, and they have an unusual story and a very unusual set of priorities.
