For a kid that grow up outside of a Detroit, I’ve done an amazing job of avoiding most things LS. Until I decided that my E30 BMW dumpster project needed one. What started as a 318i upgrade to a 325is became the catch all for all the cast off race parts from my brother’s racing hobby. Half way through swapping in a 2.5L iron block six, I asked myself what the hell I was doing. If all roads lead to LS, why not this road? Fast forward a few months and I has a spare LS1 ready to go. And I just picked up a e9x M3 DCT trans. That’s right, we’re gonna do a dual clutch, 7-speed, paddle shift, LS powdered, fly-weight Bimmer build. Let the games begin!
