I am a Street Rod Enthusiest. I have built many Street Rods using SBC, BBC and LT1 engines but so far no LS engines, I have built well over a thousand engines over my lifetime. I am a Journeyman Machinist, Certified Welder, Aircraft Machinist in the USAF and Retired USAF. I actually joined this forum back in 2013 but have made no posts since and am going through the introduction again. I am also a Moderator on the Mortec Forum.

Welcome Flyboy. Retired Army here and just South of you here at Knox.
Seems we have a lot in common. But as far as the LS plant, you'll be amazed how simple and great they are. They are as easy an building a 2 stroke bike vs a 4 stroke bike in terms of them vs a Gen 1 or 2 gm motor. Hit me up if you want and I'll PM you my number if you need help or info.

Welcome to the forum Hurst.

LS engines are pretty amazing from the hit rodding view, I think you'll enjoy working with them.

BTW - There's a Cars & Coffee at the airport in Terre Haute, Indiana today ~10 am to 1 pm if your close to that part of Indiana.
