Future LSx Miata owner
Hi all, Currently the owner of a 1990 Miata! I'm in the process of making a build list for a L92 or LM4 based swap for a daily driver/weekend warrior use, hoping to meet lots of you once I'm done with it and looking to learn more on the motor and tuning sides of things.
Even with LS V8, one of the best handling cars ever. Amazing acceleration, fabulous brakes, telepathic steering. A 2006 made by Flyin Miata incorporated all the chassis braces of the stillborn 2006 Mazdaspeed Miata (factory burned to the ground dedicated to Mazdaspeed) just before the first ones were built but Brembo brakes and all the chassis bracing had already been manufactured.
I've got a 2006 Miata with a LS3/T56 in it. LS3 has a BTR stage 2 cam, GPI ported intake/throttle-body, GPI cleaned up heads (and milled for 67cc chambers). For suspension it has Ohlins coil overs, big brakes, all the bracing, 255/40 R17 200tw sticky tires.
It's a very fun car, extremely fast, but also very hard to drive close to the limits as it can easily overpower the tires in 1st to 3rd at will, and in 4th/5th when "on the cam".
2420lb wth 1/2 tank of fuel.

NOTHING makes a LS Miata handle as great. Amazing control. I have posted some photos of my 98 Camaro where the full frame was fabricated. I'll take so of my 2001 Camaro SS with two inch tubular steel bars welded in and also welded to the pinch weld under the doors. These two F bodied can serve as templates for your Miata mods.
In the back, best handling 7100 pound limo ever, 1996 Fleetwoot 5 foot stretch w 1 1/2" solid F+R sway bars. Koni adj on full hard, 17X8.5" Impala SS wheels and 275/50-17 Nitto 555 G2
Holden Caprice Royale SS
Holden full frame unibody
See post in Introductions: Hey ya all, I'm Elliot. post #9 for fabrication photo. The oem Miate is as flexible as the oem F body. Doesn't have to stay that way.

This is a 98 F body but the principles are the same. Find some MazdaSpeed NB photos and just copy what you see. Very cost effective and no way to fail.
