Hello everyone!
Just a brief introduction: have been a Camaro owner since 1995 when I got my first one, a brand new, special ordered, Z28. Bare-bones, white, black top, no leather, no extras. Always wanted to own a V8 sports car, love at first sight when I saw the first Camaro 4th gen at the dealership downtown Austin, TX in '93. Having a young family at that time, it was hard to justify the car, but we made it work (and managed to remain married to this day :-) ).
Fast forward to 2002, my mechanic in Austin, Auto-Tek, always had this beautiful Z28 heavily modified under a cover which I' constantly looked under to see what was there. In the spring they called me and said the owner wanted to sell it, but not to anyone, he wanted someone who'd take care of the car. They told him I would be the perfect buyer given what they saw on my treating of my '96 Z28. After learning of its pedigree being the DRM400 serial number 1, a few days later we closed the deal and the car is still in my garage, now in North Texas after spending a few years in San Diego and its previous life in Austin. Been lurking at this site for years, now decided to "show up" and say hi to all.

Thanks for asking: this is the first Camaro that Doug Rippie Motors, a Corvette shop. They called it the DRM400, a stroker 383 ci which later on got a Vortech supercharger, along with better brakes (ZR1), adjustable suspension, tires wide enough to keep up, a fair amount of upgrades, taking the original 275HP (the '94 model) to 400HP=, hence the DRM400 name, but after two more upgrades in Austin by the folks at AutoTek was dyno'ed at 558 WHP. There was an article written about it on a magazine (I was able to find a copy on eBay) documenting its story. I'm still in touch with the previous, original, owner. As for pictures, many, many, since the day I decided to buy it. Will attach a couple here, but I can have many more posted if there is interest or curiosity. Plans? Not sure, have not been driving it much since I now WFH. Again, thanks for having me as a new user of the site.
