I’m just getting started on my first ever LS project. Just sold my Beloved ‘67 Camaro, 496 with Richmond 5-speed. Owned since 2003, and declared I’d die someday still owning that car. But I started getting the itch for another project…
So I found a partially completed Countach replica from 1988 by Prova Designs. It’s a longitudinal engine and I’ve got a Porsche G50 to back it up, and the chassis is designed by Lee Noble.
I got myself a low-ish mileage 2010 Corvette LS3 to put in, and the trans adapter, flywheel… etc. to mate them. Trans is at a Porsche racing shop being freshened and an LSD installed.
I flipped the intake around so the throttle body points the right way. My boss’ son is locally building a name for himself as quite the custom fabricator. He’s especially good with exhausts. He swapped the LT flange off these C8 headers and welded on a set of flanges I designed and cut at work. (OEM laser builder apps engineer has its privileges, lol!!)
Hope to be posting progress reports as I go, and to not ask too many stupid questions!
This is my first F.I. toy car, Camaro was carbureted.
