Default Intro

So I'm new here and I got a bit of a lot going on yesterday I ran my motor hot, and it's toast. I have a 1997 Silverado 1500 2wd it has the 5.7l vortec motor and a 4l60 transmission. I just so happen to have a parts truck I was gonna fix to make a old beater work truck... The parts truck is a 2000 GMC Sierra classic 2500 2wd it also has the 5.7 l vortec 350 motor but it has a 4l80 transmission, it needs a rear end and the body is beat to hell and back. Recent developments have caused me to change plans. Now I wanna start pulling the motor and instead of separating it from the transmission can I drop in that motor and transmission out of the parts truck into my daily driver truck with minimum, if any, modification issues or the need to buy new parts. The parts truck has motor ,trans, computer, wiring harness, are both obs style trucks, any enlightenment, experiences, advice /expertise or opinions are very appreciated!!

Default Hello from Phoenix

Was a long time lurker while I owned my C5 vette. Sadly, I sold the car before signing up and have a C6Z now. Joining for the plethora of information members have and because Mr Mamo told me this would be a good place to sell the heads I bought from him. Thanks for having me.

Welcome to the forum. Glad to see you here! Post pictures of the car, and if you have build/project questions, post them in the appropriate section of the forum. Happy wrenching and good luck with the project!
