Default 1967 Pontiac Firebird

Hi, Greetings from Ireland, I'm restoring a 1967 Pontiac Firebird 400 Convertible. All the hard stuff, body, paint is done but now comes the assembly. Will post photos as soon as I figure out the site a bit better.

Took about 3 years to get this far. Body was incredibly rotton but I had an excellent metal fabricator to provide his expertise.
My main problem now is wiring. We took hundreds of photos during stripping, but for some horrible reason they were all deleted. My main issue now is the roof switching. I have a heavy purple/grey wire from the motor. If I power either wire I can get the motor working, however I cannot get the switch to work. When I connect the switch to the motor wire I have a single wire left on the switch, I assumed this was for power but when connected to a power source it will not function.
I've wired up almost everything from the loom behind the dash but cannot find a feed to the switch. Also I have no clue what the is the silver relay in my photo is for.
Car is manual and I have all exterior lights (except reverse) working. I can turn engine over with ignition switch.
I'm probably posting in the wrong section, but any help would be appreciated. I'm more used to wiring on English or Italian cars.

Is that a '67 with a '69 front end?

It's a '67 with a '69 front end, rear end, doors, fenders, quarters, etc. Or, as discussed in the other thread, it's just a '69 that's been mislabeled.
