Back on board...
Haven't posted here in about eight months. I've lurked around in the archives over the past week looking for cam info and decided to get back on board. I re-registered with the same screen name I use on other forums, so some of you might recognize me.
Anyway. About the car: I've got a 97 C5 that I toasted the engine in about a year ago, so I swapped in an 04 LS6 crate engine. A lot of the details from that story are on my site www.jvs-online.net The car curently dynos at over 370RWHP.
On a personal note, I'm currently a Software Engineer for an educational software product. I'm also a former GM Powertrain Tech (92-97), so I occasionally share some stories from the "good old days". I worked on two validation projects when the LS1 was being developed, and I got to drive the C5 and the GenIV F-bodies when they were just cobbled up prototypes. I still do my own work on my cars today (including tuning), and I occasionally will help out my fellow Phoenix locals when they need it.
This week I ordered a set of Kooks long tube headers, Kooks 3" full exhaust with cat delete and x-pipe, and an MTI G1 cam. Hoping to get into the 430RWHP range. If anybody has experience with the Kooks exhaust components or the G1 cam, I'd love to hear what you have to say.
