Howdy Gang Been a long time lurker and browser of the forums, but kept quiet until now! 
I am in Northern Virginia. My car is a 00 SS Convertible, black on black. So far, other than a lid and air filter, it is stock. I bought the car new in May 00. I suspect that it was a custom order car that the deal fell through on, since it has EVERYTHING under the sun.
About to start the mods on it. Used to work at a Vette shop, so not too concerned about getting the work done. And the car is one of four, so I can live without it while working on it. Plus, it never gets driven in the winter.
Obvious mods in the planning... brakes. Unreal how crappy these things are. Thinking a Baer system. Since it is convertible, racing choices are limited, but I believe in stopping. Doubt I will step up to the Extreme system, but you never know.
Also, thinking exhaust. Since I have to live with emissions, I am limited. Have been considering LTs with emissions hookups, cats, etc. Would love to go duals, but dumping in front of the axle is not an option. Would love to get over the axle duals, preferably in stainless with mandrel bends. Can't seem to find a mandrel bender in the DC area. One big concern with any system is the cross-member for the convertible.
Also considering heads and a cam. Along with an intake at the same time.
But anyway...
