Heya - new WS6 member
I have been reading and viewing threads for the past two months in preparation for my Trans Am purchase.
I am not exactly a "n00b" to cars or Trans Ams. We have a fully restored 79 Trans Am Smokey and the Bandit replica, so that is where my love of TA's started.
Just this week I purchased a TA.
Here is a pic.
2001 Trans Am WS6
I got a pretty killer deal on it.
36k miles, completely stock, the engine was unmolested. The only prob was I think the owner power shifted and/or wasn't that great at the six speed because the 3rd and 4th gear synchro's are out of whack.
Quick and cheap fix though, so all around it was a good buy for me. Just waiting for the warranty to activate so I don't have to buy the synchro's, hehe.
Took me a long time to find the bird that had all of the options I wanted, and that was taken care of.
I spose I should thank you all now, because many of you will probably answer alot of my questions from here on out.
Glad to be here.

what kinda deal did you get?? 2 year bumper to bumper warranty on the car, which brought the price up a little (which is included in the price above).
This same car had a sticker price of just over 22,000 at the beggining of the spring.
I waited until summer was over so I could bring them down quite a bit.

I will post pics of the 79. My dad is a diecast model car collector, and his smokey and the bandit car looks identical to our 79. Honeycomb wheels that are gold, gold bird on the hood, lightly gold trimmed, golden brown Trans Am on the back, etc.
Though the diecast version is a 78.
Well anyways, I know it isn't exact, it was just based off of that "look".
