Thumbs up new here (kind of)...

I've been reading the posts aroung here and it's an incredible resource for LS1 owners... I'm actually a transplant from LS1.com and the old SLP forums before that, but here's my story...

I've had my SS for almost 5 years and have enjoyed every minute of it - done the typical mods (intake, LTs, Loudmouth, clutch, STB, SFCs) and attended all of the big (east coast, anyway) events. I've been a huge camaro nut since i was seventeen (first car was a 67 and im in the process of restoring a 70 RS/SS now) so I know the cars well.

Just recently my car became proof that H20 and SS dont mix... I hit a puddle on Rt 208 in Franklin Lakes, NJ and my car took a swim. The SLP CAI sucked up some serious water and put 2 quarter size wholes in my engine block. Luckily insurance managed to cover it and with a little help from a couple extra dollars (and a friend at Warnock Chevy) I managed to drop a brand new Z06 engine into my car... Right now I'm 350 miles into the break-in period and cant wait til I can romp on it a bit.

I'm hopin for low 12s.

The LS1tech boards helped me out with a lot of questions I had about the swap.

Thanks

Scorched SS
