Another new guy Hi guys,
I am new to the forum but not new to F-bodys. This latest one is my first LS1. I currently own a 2000 Z28 and a 1968 Camaro (also have 4x4's). This site is full of info. The wealth of knowledge on this site is almost overwelming. In the old days if you wanted more HP you just did heads, cam double pumper, exhaust and go whip some Fords. With todays technoledgy it does not seem so simple. Way to many sensors, but very efficient.
So far all I have done is yanked out the Monsoon and replaced it with a good Eclipse sound system (sub, multiple amps, components, etc.). Thanks to LS1.com for wiring info about the weird multiple ohm monsoon system, as I learned it is better to just rewire the whole system.
I also have switched to Synthetic oil and gained 2 mpg.
I have been looking at the SLP 50 hp package, but you guys have me questioning this. I know this is not the thread for discusion, so I will have to jump into some of the mod threads.

Welcome. I have forgotten what is included in the SLP 50 hp package, but I can bet there are only a few of the SLP package options I would actually put on my car. I have their lid and like it.

Thanks to all for the nice welcome. So far I really like the LS1. I had a LT1 previously and was kinda parcial to the reverse flow. I was alittle skeptical of the aluminum block at first, but from reading post from all you experts I feel I made a good investment.
