Hello, discovered this forum from a tahoe fourm that I am a member of(www.z71tahoe-suburban.com) and decided to join. I am a student who attended Georgia Southern last year, but am transferring to Auburn University next year. I own a 1997 Chevy Tahoe 2-Door but my dad just bought a 2000 Camaro SS about 3 weeks ago. There is a little story behing it. I have been constantly been bugging my dad to get a car that we can race. My family has usually been behind mustangs but I have been unbiased when it comes to brands. I attended a F-body car show at a Marriot car show a few weeks ago and became in love with the last body style Camaro and decided to convert my dad to the Camaro crowd. My dad became friends with a guy at his work that has a replica Cobra with a 390 bored and stroked that puts out about 500hp and he told my dad that one of his friends was considering selling a 2000 SS. I went and saw it and took a ride in it and it was awesome. This was on a thursday and my parents went on a vacation that weekend. My dad was planning on buying that Camaro on the following Monday. He came home on the following Sunday and wanted to drive a stock SS just for comparison. I told him it was going to be pretty hard to find but I looked in the newspaper and found another '00 Camaro with 5200 miles. Yeah I thought it was a misprint. We went to check it out and it is a red on black SS with all the options including the T-Tops. It has never been in the rain and has always been in the garage under a car cover. We proceeded to buy it on that Monday insted of the original Camaro. I am happy to join this forum and learn more about this sports car. We plan on modifing this car lightly and taking it to the track (road course). This forum seems like a great resource and I plan on taking full advantage of it!

Here's a couple pictuers. So far it has a flowmaster muffler and a K&N air filter. Tomorrow we are going to order the skip-shift elminator, air box lid. the bellows, and a keystone stainless steel grill.
