Newbie
. Now for the good part, I already have another motor and tranny ready to dropped into the car. The engine is a Gen1(yes I know Gen.1
) 357sbc, 9:7.1 compression, stock crank and rods, 993 heads fully ported, Summit cam (234/344,488/510), a Torker intake( Hey! I got it for free) and lastly a Quick Fuel Tech. Pro Vac. 750 carb. The tranny is a TH350 unit with a shift kit and a 2800 stall. The original plans for this motor and tranny was to put them into my 79 Malibu, but due to finances and me leaving for Navy bootcamp early next year, the project was seeming next to impossible to get done. That is where the Camaro comes in. My Dad spotted it on his way home from work one day, and then to me to see it. I bought it the next day.
I got the car for only 1200 bucks. The car needs a front fender due to a large ding in it, and the rear bumper needs to be replaced because the guy before me backed into something and cracked(the crack is about a foot long). Besides those problems the car is great. It runs very smooth, and the body is very clean.(Again, I wish I had a digital camera). That's about it for me. Sorry for such a long post. Later, NickP.S.-What all due I have to due to swap my motor and tranny into this car? I know this is the wrong place to post this question, but I didn't see anything about a Gen.1 motor into a fourth gen. car forum...

BTW - Welcome to the site, sounds like a big project you have there. Hopefully you can get it done by the time you leave for boot camp.
