New user, saying hello.
Hi everyone. I've had a LS1 Corvette for quite a while and have been a member over at the Corvette Forum since I bought the car. I just recently found this forum and have thus far been impressed with the vast ammount of technical and mechanical knowledge present here. I also like that the search feature seems to work fairly well (Corvette Forum's does but off and on... mostly off).
I recently purchased a 2005 CTS-V and am an administrator over at http://www.vseries.net/, everyone here is definatly welcome over there. I think Cadillac is going to be bringing out some impressive V series packages in the near future.
Anyway, to introduce myself... I'm an Electrical Engineer for the Dept. of the Army. Just recently graduated college (about a year ago) and have been working for the Army for close to 3 years. I enjoy giving back to the soldiers and helping to know that the equipment they use in the field is safe and should not cause any accidental deaths (I work in test and evaluation). Cars are my hobby and since I got the Corvette I've really enjoyed wrenching on the LS1. I'm not to sure I'll do any work on the LS6 in the CTS-V but who knows, the mod bug definatly has me!
If you have time, take a peek at my Corvette at http://kashmir.thend.org/~mkane/Corvette/ the web page only seems to display properly in Internet Explorer but I'm working on that (web programming is not my forte). Pictures of the F-Body I traded in on the Vette and the CTS-V can be seen at http://kashmir.thend.org/~mkane/car/.
I'm looking forward to many days spent reading this forum and probably asking a ton of questions here too. Thanks for having me.
Matt
