Talking Hello Everyone! I am back from the darkside!

I have been a corral.net member for some years now and owned several tuff mustangs. I even just got rid of a 300ZX Twin Turbo...Owning it was a mistake! One of my first hot rods was a camaro and I have owned some fairly mean ones and I am happy to say I am back for good. I tried the dark side (blue oval), even the import side (shhhh) and after learning from my many mistakes I now own a 94 Camaro with a wings west kit and cowl hood with a massive 3.4L engine. I am in the middle of painting it now. When time and money permits I am going to drop an engine in it. I am not sure of what I want. All I know is that it will be a V8 and on a budget. I welcome any of your advice on engines and I thank you all for a warm welcome!

Scott

Don't waste the time/money/headache on an engine swap of the V6. You can get an LS1 car relatively cheap anyways.

Thank yall for the advice. I am laying down a custom paint job now. The interior is perfect black. After I get finished I may see what I can sell it for and buy a another Z. I am not sure yet. If I got a LS1 unless it is a low milage car I would ****** the motor eventually to build it up. So the only downside I see in converting my 6 banger to a V8 is a wiring harness and the cars value not being as high as a Z28.
I appreciate the input and welcome it,
Scott

I agree 100% Marc! Just the fact that it cost so much more to get a SBF to run the same as a SBC is enough for me. I still like the Cobra's though.

If you haven't done the paint job yet, please STOP! Don't put another dime into that V6, b/c you won't get anything back out of it when you go to resell it. Don't start pouring all this money into a V6. Best to just sell it and but AT LEAST an Lt1 car which can be had very cheaply these days. You can even get 98 Ls1's very cheap.

Thanks Guys!

KB99WS6, I am painting it my self. I already had most of the supplies. The only thing I am loosing it my time invested and some say that is not worth much . I am painting it bronze with a 3 stage pearl ghost flame job. I already took the Wings west body kit off but I am leaving the cowl hood. I don't think I could sell it the way it looks now. It is a nice car but I will take your advice before sinking money into it. I may keep it as my work car (great fuel milage and killer stereo) and pick up another project. I dunno yet?

Thanks, Scott
