Another new guy Hey guys, I just picked up a 98 M6 Z as a play toy and was pointed to this site by a buddy. I have had several cars, the last 4th gen I had was a 94 with a 396 stroker which ran 11.1@126 with a 150 shot (SMALL cam in the car- could have done better)
I hope to get some good ideas on tuning programs available for the LS1, I used LT1 Edit on the last car. Anyway, I'm about to go post a question about my pinging problem

I just don't see why it would ping- the knock sensors should catch it and pull timing, no? The worst part is not knowing if it has a tune in it or not. I may have a friend at a chevy dealer flash it with a stock map just to be safe. It's pissing me off since I plan on doing some serious work with it this winter, but want to have this stuff ironed out before it comes off the road in case it is something else causing it.
