new here i'm not yet an owner, but found this forum when looking for info.
i'm considering an engine swap into an RX7, i haven't bought the engine yet but i'm doing research on potential powerplants... i'd like to run an LS1 in it, but budget may hold me back to a 5.3 or 4.8 iron block from a truck. it all depends on what comes along within my budget. i'm hoping old man winter helps me find my setup... i have patience.
my goal will be to make a good, lightweight, dead reliable, street/strip car to run a local NHRA pro class... hopefully 11's.
the search button is already our friend..... been lurking/studying.
my brother just bought a wrecked 96 LT1/auto firebird for his swap, and we're starting to tear into it. his goals are the same... dead reliable streeter that will go to the strip.... and rip some local ricers a new one.
