for a while and finally decided to register. I have a 2005 GTO and have been a member of ls1gto.com for about a year. I got caught up in this drag racing craziness in the early 1950s so, obviously, I am a "little" older than most of you. Not to worry, though, I will do my best to keep up.

I was a Ford guy in the '50s. Started with a Ford Mainline business coupe, 239ci Y-block, Edelbrock 3-2bbl intake and small Isky cam. It did OK against the 265ci Chevy small blocks. Different story in '57 when Chevy brought out the 283. I finally swapped the engine to a 312ci Y-block and ran a McCullough (Paxton) blower. Spent a lot of money trying to keep up with Chevys.

Yes, I will be running the goat from time to time; but I will keep it streetable. Currently, the engine is basically stock; but I run a 125 dry shot at the track.

BTW, I see you are from Fla...that's where I was running the Ford. I grew up in Clearwater.
