New member from across the pond

Hello guys and gals, my name`s Pete and I`m from the UK.

I dont own a GTO, Monaro, Camaro etc. but I do own this ................

And am transplanting this into it ......................

It`s from a 2004 car and only covered 14,000 miles

lol It`s a Vauxhall Astra Coupe Turbo, was running 292 bhp and 330 ft/lbs but front wheel drive and a complete animal, even with an ATB

I`ve no idea mate, I imported it from Schram autoparts in Michigan.

I think someone on here or LS1GTO, thought it might be train damaged ?

That’s a lot of work to get the drive to the rear, but as one of my friends said to a customers enquiry " any thing will fit anything give enough time patience & perseverance " should be a hoot to drive when it’s done.

What sort of money did you pay for the motor gearbox & diff from Schram, any hassles getting it over?

It was $4089 (£2335) for the package plus £792 shipping, VAT and Import duties.
It took 6 weeks, but it arrived before I started stripping so it wasn`t a problem.

I`m fitting the rear axle and clip tomorrow.
It`s 110 mm too wide, so gotta do a bit of cutting here and there.
