The Local new guy Well just the new guy from NY, I just got a "pull me over" Red 94 firebird v6 and am looking at making it....better....it was a used one but only 103k miles on it so in my mind not that bad, once I got it home though I noticed that it has problems starting up (the Battery seems fine so I'm lost) and the headlights Grind a bit when lowering....all in all I have never really done anything with cars, this is my first one so I know nothing about em.
I'm comming here so I can hopefully learn a bit about em and get some help in the loads of stuff I dont know.

Welcome to the forum. It sounds like an alternator problem. Does it start on it's own eventually or do you have to jump start it to get it going? Does it turn over ok or sound like it's not getting enough fuel? Let us know and again welcome and enjoy the boards!

well it had been starting on its own...till today...now it wont even start if I used a Jump cable from a charger (not an actual car but its supposed to have the same amount of power)
it doesn't sound like its not getting fuel...so I'm assumeing its an alternator thing...any suggestions for a good alternator? or should I start a new thread about this?
