greetings from WI I grew up turning wrenches on Detroit iron. I moved to Nevada in '78 and lived there for 25 years and in the process started driving and turning wrenches on Toy Supras and MR2s.
I recently moved back to WI and brought some Toys with me. I've joined this forum to get some ideas for shoehorning a V8 into an old '85 mark2 Supra or maybe my '81 mark1. I've seen several mark3s with LS1s in them before so I figure why not try it on the older generations.
I've been reading some of the threads here and I noticed that there were some posts regarding the Supra engines. Toyota has always used a straight six and never a V6 in the Supra - all 4 generations. Seems to be a common misconception. The turbo 6 was available in the mk3 and mk4, but quite a few of us have turboed the mk2 and a couple the mk1, too.
