Yep and I plan on using it at the track. I want A car that can be killer on the track but also great to go cruising with.

I had a bbc for my 68 but it was going to cost $2700.00 to put it together. Got a 99 ls1 with 4l60e and complete harness/computer/sensors for $1500.00 and I heard the ls1 run before I bought it. Just do your homework first It's cheaper. and don't let your boyfriend do all the thinking for ya. otherwise you'll only have a car as fast as his. not faster. no boyfriend will recommend better/faster setup for his girlfriend. last but not least you're going to have to find a balance between track and street. A LS1 is a great candidate because you can have multiple profiles to flash the Eprom with. that will give you the Dr. jeckel/ MR hyde to fulfill the track/street cunundrum.

Most likley her car will be a dedicated track car. It would be the faster of the two.... not that mine would be slow by ANY means.....

Well I know him very well and thats not a issue. He wants my car to be the faster of the two because mine is strictly track.
I was going back and forth with the option of it being a street car also, but im convinced now that I would enjoy a track car more. Juice said that I could get a Saturn Sky as my daily driver. That was my concern. I wanted a cute little sports car to drive every day. The sky is affordable and fits me perfectly.
We want to get a inclosed trailer for the track car. We are also going to put Lexan windows and fiberglass on the car. All in all this is going to be a sweet little car. I will have my cute daily and my track car.And trust me, this car is going to be bad.
But as far as Juice not letting me get faster then him, thats just not true. He knows how much this means to me. He wants me to be very fast. We have decided not to have children so that we can focus on the cars.

That is where I am now. I will be converting my 6 speed to a TH400, converter for spray, roll cage and set up for alot of spray.

All it needs is the above, another new driveshaft (can't run my Denny's that is new it will be too short) cha ching $500 wasted 7 months ago but anyway, the motor is already built for nitrous. I will also need the Hals shocks all around as well with relocation brackets and a gear change. Should be cutting some 1.4's at the track and running mid 10's on the bottle. YET still being streetable to drive it everyday if I wish.

Just wait, you will see it's a rather expensive addiction I've been at it for a few years
