Welcome to the dark side!!!! (sorry to hear of your accident, i like the pony's too)
the pacesetters rust fairly quickly from under the coating,,,,i think due to the skinny gauge steel. there are others found on that famous auction site, kind of a no-name brand, but they are made with better, thicker stainless steel, so you wont have that rust problem a year later after installation. they do not come with a ORY,,,,there are other threads that go into alot of detail about them.
Congrats on your black SS,,very sharp cars,,,and if your anything like the rest of us on here,,,,it just gets more, and more addicting to mod these LS based engines.

What's a good steeped header? My search isn't working for some reason.. Also, what can you expect to pay for an install? Putting headers on my stang never even crossed my mind (wouldn't respond as well anyways I think).

I recommend Texas-speed.com for any ls1 part you want. Their customer service is great. get a cam(kit for $600), headers in my sig($342 shipped), search for y pipe that fits(i have custom duals), ls6 intake($300 used), and get a dyno tune. that should bring you up to 390+rwhp.

Welcome to the site and congrats on the SS. Ls1's are amazing engines. Nothing against Fords though. I still plan on getting a 03-04 cobra soon to add to the garage. There are some really great sponsors here on the board so check'em out and have fun modding.
