Smile New..

Picking up my 99 Z28 tomorrow am. Has 4.10 gears, exhaust and intake as far as I remember and know. I just got rid of my 03 Cobra. I just needed something cheaper and I've been a long time fan of the LS1 motors. I originally wanted a TA, but I hooked the Z and getting a sweet deal with it.

well, if ya already got the gears and intake and dont have headers, then thats the next logical step, then maybe a nice H/C package! I would say u should be somewhere in the high 12s as u stand right now.

Are H/C's pretty expensive?

Would my car handle a 150shot?

Welcome and congrats on the new car. Head and cam packages are never very cheap. As far as N2O, I would go with a 125 shot at the most, depending on mileage. Then again, I' m no nitrous guru or anything.

yeah, H/C packages arent the cheapest mod, probably one of the best and most rewarding, depending on how modded ur cobra was, h/c would put at if not past that ower level, also of course depending on the specific package. Im not the most versed though on h/c and am trying to decide on a good one myself and the internals formum is a good place to ask questions like that! As far as the N20 is concerned, not sure, never used the stuff so u should ask that in that particular forum. Oh, and after all this u will need a tune!

welcome to the dark side and I don't think a 150 shot will hold with those mods but you should be fine with a 75 shot 100 shot maybe

You did exactly what my friend did. He just sold his 03 cobra and got a 98z. Have fun with your new car!
