Thank you for the compliments... I just went through THE worst day of my life. I had the car for MAYBE 2 weeks and got side swiped and knocked off the rode. So now I have to wait for the guys insurance to come through and pay for all the body work. The front and back quater panels need to be re-painted along with the door and from bumper. I also have to get 2 new right wheels because of curb damage. The only bright side is when I was knocked off the road I missed a tree by about a foot and swerved back on the road right before hitting head on into a light pole... so yeah. I have wanted this car for about 4-5 years, finally get it, then get hit so I will post more pictures when the car is fixed.

EXACTLY!! I just can't stand seeing it like that... for this first week or two that I had it I was out in the garage EVERY night detailing it, now I go out and see it and just want to get it in the shop to get fixed. Thanks for the simpathy... Beautiful SS by the way

Hey bro welcome to the site. What are the details on your car miles, tranny so on. You will love the car just run good oil only synthetic i personaly use royal purple and just seafoamed the car which realy helps out alot for 5 dollars i recomend it. There are so many little things to do to the car that make a noticeable differance just make sure you enjoy the car for me man! oh and they are crazy in the rain that back end will like to come around on you.

Sorry about the accident by the way man just saw the details. But if it makes you feel better my dad backed into my old z28 the day after i got it!! messed up my front end pretty bad but that new paint looked so good when it was done i was almost happy about it.

At least it wasn't your fault. I wrecked mine out of stupidity only 6 months after I got it. It was a $2,500 kick in my own ***. Don't do anything stupid in the rain!!!! the back end swings out violently on these cars. I leanred that lesson hard coming from a 100hp FWD car.
It's a horrible feeling to see your car smashed up and know that the only reason it's messed up is because of yourself.
BTW, I noticed no one answered your other question- when I start my car I don't even touch the gas for at least 10-15 secs so the oil can circulate, and I drive down my mile long street keeping rpms under 1600. By about 160 water temp I feel safe taking it to 2500-3000, but I still try to keep it under 2500 if I can. And by ~185 I'll take it to redline no worries. Most people aren't queite that cautious of running their cars hard, but I try to keep mine in great condition (another reason I felt so sick after I wrecked it.)

Thank you guys for the stories, makes me feel a bit better. I don't have any pictures of the wreck, I'm trying to think about it as little as possible. And ofcourse now the kid who hit me (GT Mustang) was saying I was "Racing". At 7 a.m. on the way to school? So he is making it a real pain. If he was already issued a citation for unsafe lane change can he turn this around? Because it's in the police report that he hit me... so do I even have anything to worry about?
Thanks for the compliment hope it all works out for you and the guy doesnt try to screw you. My accident wasnt to bad didnt hit nothing but came real close. jumped a curb at the top of a hill and got about 10 feet in the air and landed on a sidewalk right next to a building. I bent the frame that was about 900 to fix bent my rims but that was ok cause i got OEM ZO6 which i really wanted just not then. other then that just a new battery cause the other one came loose. Im just thankful to be alive from that experiance and learned always be careful in the rain.
Now its my dukes of hazard monet caue i was flying but i know i could of killed myself. good luck with teh insurance and hope you get it back on the road soon. NBM is the best color off all.
