whats up
Hey whats going on? My names Jay. A little about me, I'm from Connecticut. I am, or atleast was a die hard chevy guy. My very first car I bought at 16 was a 1971 Nova SS. Nothing crazy, 350, mild cam, yet enough power for a 16 y.o. to have fun and get in trouble with. Well, needless to say one rainy summer night i took her out, and at a stop sign near this curve i i punched it. Being so slick out I spun it around and smashed my pass. rear wheel and tire on the curb. Bent the rim, and did even worse to the real end. I ended up selling the car and got into dsm's. Now for you who dont know what a dsm is(diamond star motors) Chrysler and Mitsu's joint venture which consists of Eagle Talon, Plymouth Laser, and Mitsubishi Eclipse. Basically an evo before it came to america. Of coarse there were various trim levels for each model. I've owned 7 awd talons. Dont get me wrong here, I'm not what you'd consider a rice burner. No body kits, wings, mufflers or anything of that queer sort. Its a 2 litre turbocharged car, all wheel drive, and was fairly heavy for what it was tipping the scales at just over 3100lbs. I mean I could get a nasty 1.6xx 60-ft and run 11.80's @ 115 (gotta love awd) then turn left outta lebanon valley dragway and drive her home while still getting 22-23mpg. For me, its not a bad low budget bang for your buck car. But the time has come for me to step up, get back to my roots (my dads big into camaro's, vega's and whatnot) and get a real car. I want to find a beautiful 4th gen SS Camaro. I've been into the dsm boards and sites so long now, I'm basically starting from scratch again with the F-body platform. I have no idea what are some good sites and shops for these cars. I know of year one/nextgen and SLP, but do you think you could lead me in the right direction in getting me started in my F-body search? Any and all help would be appreciated.
...So as i step off my soapbox here, I just wanted to hello. Thanks for the space guys, I'll talk to ya later.

Here's a pic of my last Talon I had, a '98 awd TSi:
